Brasserie HaachtIn the past, this beer was brewed by SPA under the name of « The Rince Cochon », it is now brewed by the Haacht Brasserie, in Belgium, such as Primus or Tongerlo beers. The character of this strong lager lies in a pale yellow body that usually evokes light Pils. Yet, it has a 8.5° ABV, making it very different from Pils and other Lagers. It also displays a white medium head that has a good retention on the glass rim. It features light malt aromas along with light bitter-sweet hints of lemon. The alcohol is also noticeable and does not leave any doubt about the distinctive character of this beer. In the mouth, you’ll sense sweet and full flavours with malt and fruity notes. To conclude, this beer is quite sugary, only the sensation of the alcohol breaks its sweetness.  This is a lager featuring very few hops that will please amateurs of full but strong beers. Indeed, sweet flavours of malt balance the alcoholic presence in order to offer an harmonious and very pleasant beer. Rince Cochon is a lager from Flanders that allies skillfully a tasty recipe and a commercially “offbeat” product. This beer must be drunk responsibly due to its high ABV, and releases the most of its flavours when poured at 6°. It tastes delicious with a plate of delicacies or as an aperitif.Product #: 10744stars, based on 4 reviewsRegular price: 33Available from: Saveur BièreCondition: New productsin stock

Brasserie HaachtThe Tongerlo Christmas is an abbey beer from the Haacht brewery. The secular tradition of the Prémontrés of Tongerlo continues with this officially recognised Belgian abbey beer. This Christmas beer is only available during winter and the bottle re-fermentation guarantees an evolution of flavours and aromas and long conservation .  This abbey beer has an amber colour topped with a creamy white head.    The bouquet gives off intense aromas of flowers, fruit and spices.   The palate is well balanced between fruity and spicy aromas with a slightly bitter aftertaste.Product #: 274stars, based on reviewsRegular price: 2.62.6Available from: Saveur BièreCondition: New productsin stock

Brasserie HaachtDiscover the little sister of the Rince Cochon, brewed for a long time under the name of “The Rince Cochon”, the Rince Cochon Rouge (Red) is today brewed by Haacht in Belgium. This beer is very different from the blond version, since this new Rince Cochon is flavored with red fruit, pours a red color and wears a reworked label on red tones. The character of this beer lies in its dark pink colour reminiscent of red fruit. However, compared to most fruity beers, this one isn’t light and features an ABV of 7.5%. The whole is topped by a thick, long-lasting and slightly pink head. It challenges the nose with fruity aromas that one can try to guess. The presence of alcohol is obvious. In the mouth, the flavours are sweet and fruity with notes of strawberries, cherries (the beer is produced with cherry juice) and raspberries. One can also sense the presence of hops, barley and malt. Do not wait any longer and try this fruity beer amazingly strong for a beer of that kind, you can even pour it in its special Red Beer Glass.  Product #: 27024stars, based on 5 reviewsRegular price: 2.92.9Available from: Saveur BièreCondition: New productsin stock

Brasserie HaachtTongerlo Prior Triple is best served in classic goblet chalice glass. With its special shape, highlighted with a gold rim, you'll get only the best of your Tongerlo's fruity, spicy character. Tongerlo comes alive in the glass, as the yeast is added to ferment the beer in the bottle. This natural process is what gives Tongerlo its lively character. To fully appreciate it, Saveur Bière recommends you serve 3/4 of the bottle, then swirl the bottle to release the yeast before pouring the remaining beer into your glass.Product #: 1871stars, based on reviewsRegular price: 5.55.5Available from: Saveur BièreCondition: New productsin stock

Brasserie Haacht A top-fermenting creamy ale with a dark, glowing red colour.A full-bodied beer. A sweet and fruity aroma, a round, mellow taste and a first impression that is both pleasing and soothing.Slightly sweet and delicately hoppy finish, with flavours of red plums at the end.Tasted with pleasure and delicacy. For epicureans who love a delicate head.It is usually drunk at a temperature of 8-10°. Legend would have it that Charles V used to drink from a tankard with 4 handles. The story goes that, one day, Charles V visited a tavern to taste a beer. The tavern's owner offered it to him, inevitably holding the tankard by the handle. Charles V then said to him: "How can I take the beer out of your hands if you're holding it by the handle?" Later, Charles V returned to the same tavern and ordered a beer. The beer was then served in a tankard with 2 handles, one for the server, the other for him. Unfortunately, the server offered Charles V the beer holding both handles at the same time. Charles V reacted again... and the story continued until 4 handles had been added to the tankard.
