Basqueland Brewing ProjectAs with all of Basqueland’s superb Craft Beers, Alvin Imperial Stout is inspired by local legends - in this case a submarine hired do defuse a wartime bomb in San Sebastien bay. This majestic, velvety Stout is brewed with a classic mix of cocoa, fresh coffee beans and vanilla pods for a rich, dark character full of bracingly bitter black malt and sweet vanilla cappuccino. Thick, slick and silky-smooth, Alvin’s lightly carbonated palate is packed with more bittersweet vanilla mocha coffee, with a soft liquorice and spiced plum character that combines with bitter burnt sugar bitters to provide a super-satisfying ensemble.Product #: 30985stars, based on reviewsRegular price: 1.851.85Available from: Saveur BièreCondition: New productsin stock
Basqueland Brewing ProjectAt Saveur Bière we always strive to bring you the best beers from around the globe, but with Coco Chango from Basqueland Brewing Project, we really put our heart and soul into it. This is special collaboration beer was originally created for the Discovery Box when Saveur Bière team members, Loic and Oswin, went to Saint Sebastian, Spain, to brew it with the Basqueland guys. A full-bodied Imperial Rye Porter, Coco Chango is silky-smooth thanks to the infusion of bitter chocolate, which is balanced by a spicy character courtesy of the English rye malt, while a dose of toasted coconut gives the beer a twist to put the coco in the chango. The result is a glossy, viciously full bodied, sumptuously flavoured Porter that we are proud to call our own, making this the perfect accompaniment for your Easter chocolates or salted caramel cookies.Product #: 27637stars, based on reviewsRegular price: 3.93.9Available from: Saveur BièreCondition: New productsin stock
Basqueland Brewing Project"Short BBE* date 31/03/2019. After this date, the beer is still perfectly drinkable, but may lose some of its flavour or nutritional value. *Best Before End" The brainchild of a group of Americans, Basqueland Brewing Project's beer comes to you from the heart of Spain's Basque country. The real giveaway to their origins is this IPA, which is everything you could wish for in an American India Pale Ale. Clad in an copper body, an impressive palette of aromas awaits courtesy of the hops and malt profile. Fans of fruity will be well looked after, with a bouquet bursting with classic grapefruit to tickle the nose, closely followed by a whole fruit-bowl of tropical scents, including passion fruit, guava, and pineapple to take charge. Accompanying this fruit cocktail are discreet caramel and bread overtones. On the tongue there's everything you might want and more. The fruit elements initially have the upper hand before a resinous pine note sweeps in to entertain the tastebuds. This is followed in turn by a gentle roundness, bringing with it malt notes, before ramping up the bitterness to give a pleasingly long taste. The light carbonation and silky texture complete the tableau for this pleasingly complex, well balanced, and highly accomplished IPA.Product #: 84024stars, based on 5 reviewsRegular price: 2.962.96Available from: Saveur BièreCondition: New productsin stock

Basqueland Brewing ProjectBasqueland Brewing Project is a new brewery founded in San Sebastian, Spain, by three Americans. Their aim was to create beers with complex flavours using premium quality ingredients. Basqueland’s Equinox is a Spanish Wheat Beer-style blonde made with 55% wheat; a kind of German-American hefeweizen hybrid. Pouring a very fair blonde capped with an attractive white head, the aroma is fruity, with the accent on tropical fruit and lemons. The taste is light, refreshing and sparkling, and the Equinox hops give their characteristic orange zest flavour, with a slight bitterness. This voluptuous beer is unfiltered and unpasteurised with a pronounced acidity.Product #: 8551stars, based on reviewsRegular price: 1.651.65Available from: Saveur BièreCondition: New productsin stock

Basqueland Brewing ProjectTo freshen up your palate, Basqueland Brewing Project propose a change of pace with their light, dry Mimosa Dry Ale. Inspired by the classic Mimosa breakfast cocktail (aka Buck’s Fizz) – two parts Champagne to one part orange juice, in case you were wondering. Personally we think it’s a waste of good orange juice :p - this dry-as-a-bone Ale is brewed with Champagne yeast to remove any trace of sweetness - just like a great Brut sparkling wine. Add a generous helping of fresh orange pulp and zest for an inviting orange-blossom note, and this light, fragrant Pale Ale is a crisp, dry delight. The hazy pale gold body is refreshingly light, and full of biscuit malts and spicy hops that make a perfect backdrop for the subtle bitter orange, to lead you to a long, dry fantastically fragrant finish.  Product #: 32232stars, based on reviewsRegular price: 3.83.8Available from: Saveur BièreCondition: New productsin stock

Basqueland Brewing ProjectThe Beer: Always on the lookout for new and exciting flavour combinations, the guys at Basqueland aren't afraid to experiment. And their collaboration with the equally adventurous Wendlandt has given us Hermey's Dilemma, a seductive Triple infused with lemongrass and citrus. Pouring deep amber with a fluffy white head, Hermey's Dilemma is bursting with classic fruity Triple malts and spicy, aromatic Belgian yeast tones. On the palate, this excellent recipe is full-bodied and respectably carbonated, offering rich caramel fruit malts and an exquisitely citrusy lemongrass tone that ably cuts through the palate to offer bright, zesty refreshment, closing on a sublime botanical note. The Brewery: Based south of the Basque city of San Sebastien, the award-winning Basqueland Brewing Project is the brainchild of three Americans. This trio of gourmets, which includes one Michelin-starred chef, has built an up-and-coming brewery motivated by fresh, flavoursome beers. Limited only by their imagination, they draw their inspiration from a range of sources, including the wild Bay of Biscay, Basque culture and some colourful local characters. Back again for Beery Christmas 2017, Basqueland has chosen Mexico's foremost Craft Brewery, the award-winning Cerveceria Wendlandt for its partner. With a wealth of experience and vivid imagination to match that of Basqueland, the results can only be exciting!   The Style: Triple – sometimes written using the Flemish spelling, Tripel – is a beer style that goes back to the Low Countries in the middle ages. Although the origins of the name are unclear, it is widely believed that Quadruple, Triple and Double refer to the first, second and third rinsing of mashed grain during brewing. With each rinsing less sugar was released into the brew resulting in progressively weaker beers. For easy recognition, these were marked XXXX for Quadrupel, the strongest, XXX for Tripel, and XX for Dubbel - the third rinse with the least fermentable sugar and therefore the lowest alcohol content. Food Pairings:  With its aromatic hit of lemongrass, Basqueland's Kevin tells us "Hermey's intensity will match perfectly with bold flavors. Anything with basil on it… how about a pizza! Or how about honey-glazed ham or a grilled cheese and ham sandwich? We also like how this style of beer pairs with sweets, and we can’t think of anything better for the holidays than a delicious fruit cake or a german Stollen. Any British carrot cake or American pumpkin cake will work as well."   Ripe and fruity with a spicy aromatic yeast character, Tripels are also great paired with ripe, fruity cheeses such as aged Gouda or mature Brie. Our favourite discovery with this zingy Tripel is spaghetti al vongole – classic Italian spaghetti with clams – belissimo!Product #: 29619stars, based on reviewsRegular price: 3.23.2Available from: Saveur BièreCondition: New productsin stock
Basqueland Brewing ProjectBasqueland Brewing Project is the brainchild of three American gourmets who relocated to Spain. Their two major passions are hunting for new taste experiences and incorporating them into their brewing. Just three years into their adventure, the brewers have already scooped a range of prestigious prizes. Basqueland Arraun Amber Ale is a Spanish beer that pours deep amber, capped with a light white head. The bouquet is a mix of caramel and fruity notes, with mango and peach sharing the limelight. With its sparkling medium-body, the taste has a certain sweetness, balanced by a pronounced bitterness. There are also pine, fruits, and coffee notes which bring the tasting to an elegant close. This surprising profile is proof of the brewery’s mastery of its art.Product #: 85744stars, based on 2 reviewsRegular price: 1.981.98Available from: Saveur BièreCondition: New productsin stock
