RodenbachRodenbach Grand Cru is a Belgian Sour Ale-style amber beer that blends one third young beer with two thirds oak barrel-aged for a maturity that gives this excellent brew an intensely complex character. Pouring deep hazy amber with a fine tawny head, this Grand Cru offers up a woody, fruity bouquet. The palate is tart, with more woody notes, as well as fruity touches including cherry. You’ll also find malt, caramel, and a yeast note in a dry, bitter ensemble that, with the medium body and slick texture offers a sharp, woody finish.Product #: 38015stars, based on 4 reviewsRegular price: 2.62.6Available from: Saveur BièreCondition: New productsin stock

RodenbachThe Rodenbach brewery has a long and rich brewing history. It was established in 1820 by four brothers. It was Eugène Robenbach, one of their descendants, who brought the secrets of ageing in oak barrels from England. Owned by the Palm Jan Toyes brewery since 1998, they have worked to perpetuate this unique style of Belgian beer. The beer we drink today is still brewed in traditional barrels which are watertight thanks to reeds, some of which are over 150 years old! This blended beer is mainly composed of young beer (¾) and beer aged for two years in a barrel. It has a brown colour with ruby tints and develops a unique aromatic palate. The complex bouquet has an underlying bittersweet nature, blending recognisable touches of fruit and plums with woody, sharp and malty hints. This beer's unique flavours are the result of barrel ageing and the yeast ingredient, the same since the beginning. This beer is an invitation to a taste sensation. And if you visit the Belgian coast, try this Rouge des Flandres with a plate of small grey shrimps!  Product #: 2634stars, based on 10 reviewsRegular price: 2.52.5Available from: Saveur BièreCondition: New productsin stock

RodenbachRodenbach is renowned for its Sour Ales and Alexander is no exception. Originally brewed way back In 1986 to celebrate 200th birthday of founder Alexander Rodenbach, this blended beer consists of two-thirds 2-year old Rodenbach and one-third young beer infused with fresh sour cherries. Pouring red-tinted amber, Alexander's bouquet is awash with generous malts and mouth-watering cherry notes. This fruity, malty bouquet reappears on the palate, with more sharp, fruity, oaky tones and a red wine quality that lead inexorably to a rich, complex finish.Product #: 28032stars, based on reviewsRegular price: 12.512.5Available from: Saveur BièreCondition: New productsin stock

Rodenbach The Rodenbach brewery habitually produces high quality brews that are often instantly recognisable. Their Rodenbach Caractère Rouge is absolutely true to form. It is aged for two years in oak casks, and then infused with cherries, cranberries and raspberries. Naturally, the impact of these methods is noticeable during tasting. To date, only 900 bottles have been produced. In the glass, this Belgian beer takes on a colour midway between amber and red, with marvellous ruby red highlights.  On the nose, the different facets of the brewing process can be distinguished. Thus, the red fruits can be identified, particularly the cherry and raspberry. In the mouth, the acidity becomes increasingly noticeable during tasting, nicely showcasing the flavours of red fruits. The finish is dry, and very slightly woody. This amazing beer is a very limited edition. You’re going to love it, but wait until you taste it from its own 33cl Rodenbach glass!
