This Belgian beer no longer needs any introduction, don't forget the "coachman" beer glass associated to this brand!
belgian pale ale
Poured in its design brand-name beer glass and its wooden base, the Kwak exists since 1791 and has established itself as a reference beer since then. Pauwel Kwak, the brewer creator of this beer, would be proud today! The associated beer glass, named the glass of the coachman, stands on the table with only a wooden base. This particularity, along with the great tasting qualities of the beer, has contributed to the worldwide fame enjoyed by the Kwak today.
The Kwak is a Belgian beer pouring an amber to copper colour topped by a thick white head. The general aroma is sweet, one can smell scents of caramel, yeast, notes of fruits and spices. Its taste is also sweet, featuring fruity notes of plum and nuts along with hints of caramelized malts. This beer is therefore very sweet and easily drinkable, without being too sugary. This dense beverage is completed by rising bitterness throughout the tasting, finely balancing the whole.
