Brewed since 1844 at the Dupont farm, Saison Dupont is a classic Belgian beer and a benchmark among Belgian Saison beers. Its recipe uses hops freshly harvested at the end of the summer. The beer is then matured over the winter in readiness for the start of spring.
Pouring hazy gold with a persistent lacy head, the bouquet is alive with light malts, and upon warming up it breathes more fruity, hoppy scents.
The palate is initially fruity and sweet, followed immediately by a wave of hops with a bitterness that grows in intensity throughout the tasting, reaching a crescendo to share the finish with honeyed, fruity flavours that offer a pleasing sweetness.
