The Gauloise Christmas beer is the former Bocq Christmas beer from the brewery of the same name. All its aromas emerge between 8° and 12°, the ideal tasting temperature. A typical festive season beer.
This is a brown beer, very dark in colour with a delicate, generous, white head. The head does not last very long in the glass. On the nose, this beer is rich in flavours, with hints of coriander and liquorice. A delicate scent of chocolate and fruits can be detected, but is soon masked by strong notes of alcohol.
The palate is well rounded and heady, with a delightful aroma typical of special malts. On the finish, the alcohol fades to make way for a faint bitterness.
This Christmas beer is the perfect winter accompaniment for red meat or spicy dishes and strong cheeses.
