Created in 1982, the Chimay Grande Réserve is still going strong in 2018, and is available in a rather unexpected format: A 6-litre bottle called a Methuselah.
Powerful and complex with an amber hue and an off-white head, it releases aromas of spice, caramel, dried fruit, malt and hops. On the palate there are flavours of caramel, spice, dried fruit, toasted malt and grapes. It has a dry, fruity finish.
