Cuvée van de Keizer is brewed every year starting on 24th of February, Charles Quint's birthday, by the Hetanker brewery in Belgium. It is produced in limited quantities. Cuvée Van de Keizer Rouge, the red version, is a blonde beer, as opposed to the “blue” version which is a brown beer.
This exceptional Belgian beer shows an attractive, slightly cloudy blonde colour, with an inviting, compact and unctuous white head. On the nose, we find aromas of cereals and hops, with hints of spices. On the palate, each sip brings new discoveries, such as hints of white fruits, hops, spices and also aromatic herbs. The finish has a slight bitterness, giving balance to this beer of many flavours.
The red version of the Cuvée van de Keizer is a premium Belgian beer, that can be laid down for a year in order to be enjoyed at its very best.
