Rodenbach is renowned for its Sour Ales and Alexander is no exception. Originally brewed way back In 1986 to celebrate 200th birthday of founder Alexander Rodenbach, this blended beer consists of two-thirds 2-year old Rodenbach and one-third young beer infused with fresh sour cherries.
Pouring red-tinted amber, Alexander's bouquet is awash with generous malts and mouth-watering cherry notes.
This fruity, malty bouquet reappears on the palate, with more sharp, fruity, oaky tones and a red wine quality that lead inexorably to a rich, complex finish.
