The ultimate traditional Belgian Gueuze?
Sour, fruity, woody
Dry, lemon, grapefruit, ginger
Brewed in Belgium by masters of the Gueuze, F Boon, Oude Gueuze is possibly the ultimate traditional Belgian Gueuze, consisting of 90% 18-month old lambic, 5% young lambic, and 5% three-year old beer for a rich, complex spontaneous fermentation character.
Hazy orange crowned by a lasting white head, it’s dominated by sour notes with attractive lemon, grapefruit, set against a characteristic wood-rot backdrop. The ensemble is soft, tart grapefruit, lemon, and ginger flavours, with a hint of nutmeg, leading to a woody dry finish.
