Kentucky Breakfast Stout is one of Founders Brewing Company signature brews, with a perfect Ratebeer score to rank among the very best worldwide.
Aged in Bourbon barrels, it is a powerful Imperial Stout, brewed with coffee beans and vanilla, showing off a slick black body capped by a delicate tan head. The nose is packed with big roasted malts, with sumptuous coffee vanilla liqueur and thick woody tones.
On the tongue, KBS continues this vanilla coffee theme, with thick dark chocolate, roasted malt, and deliciously warming alcohol character that conspire to lead to a crazy-rich, coffee-infused finish.
KBS is supplied direct from Founders with a short Best Before Date, which in some cases may have already passed. However, this doesn't mean the beer is bad. Like many Imperial Stouts, KBS is one beer that won't spoil. In fact it'll improve with age, so if you can resist opening it, it'll get better and better in your cellar over the years ahead…
