Not content with their crazy-rich Billiard Imperial Coffee Oatmeal Stout, Netherlands Craft Brewery Frontaal wanted to give this gorgeously velvety Imperial Stout the BA treatment. Using barrels from the exclusive Springbank Distillery on the Mull of Kintyre (yes, THAT Mull of Kintyre) Frontaal gave their Imperial Stout a delicious smoky, peaty character typical of west-coast Whiskies.
This smokiness adds to the roasty, toasty malts and deep coffee character, highlighting the softness of the oatmeal to create of huge, satisfying palate-filling picture packed with smoky coffee and big, boozy whisky notes.
