Dankwood by Founders is a mighty 12% Bourbon Barrel-Aged Red IPA that’s nothing short of spectacular. The deep copper-coloured body and creamy head conceal sweet caramel and burnt sugar malts with a generous helping of toasted brown bread and spread with peach and apricot jam.
The big, chewy body is packed with more buttered toast malts and sweet caramel notes, backed by woody, oaky bourbon, and dank hops. There’s also a wicked fruity complexity that gives tons of pineapple, peach, apricot, mango and papaya and a smooth vanilla and coconut character that completes this awesome beer perfectly.
