Basqueland Brewing Project’s new collaboration with compatriots, La Pirata, is a rich, dark Imperial Stout brewed with aromatic muscovado sugar and vanilla. The black body and small brown head conceal a classic mocha coffee aroma with traces of vanilla, and a sweet molasses note courtesy of the muscovado sugar.
On the tongue Abordaia gives more bittersweet molasses with hints of liquorice and stonefruit, and more gorgeous vanilla caramel that fills the tongue thanks to the big alcohol note to deliver a sweet vanilla irish coffee end-note.
