The very latest beer from the historic De Halve Maan brewery
belgian pale ale
malty & chewy
Brugse Zot is a top-fermented artisanal Belgian Pale Ale, brewed in the centre of Bruges by the historic De Halve Maan brewery. Roughly translated, its name means the Bruges Fool or Jester after the colloquial name for the good burgers of Bruges, the Fools of Bruges.
Brewed to 6%, this bright blonde is capped with a fine white head, and releases fine malt scents punctuated with spicy notes typical of Belgian yeasts.
The taste is also lightly malted before a surprising, lightly bitter finish creeps up on you, to make this a highly agreeable, well-rounded beer.
Best tasted well-chilled in its Brugse Zot glass, this is an excellent summer brew.
