Sour Ale with a terrific blend of young and barrel-aged beers
Deep hazy amber, fine tan head
Sharp, fruity, woody, cherries
sour & fruity
Rodenbach Grand Cru is a Belgian Sour Ale-style amber beer that blends one third young beer with two thirds oak barrel-aged for a maturity that gives this excellent brew an intensely complex character.
Pouring deep hazy amber with a fine tawny head, this Grand Cru offers up a woody, fruity bouquet.
The palate is tart, with more woody notes, as well as fruity touches including cherry. You’ll also find malt, caramel, and a yeast note in a dry, bitter ensemble that, with the medium body and slick texture offers a sharp, woody finish.
