Mongy Blonde is a light Belgian Pale Ale type beer with a well balanced bitterness that lingers on the pallet. It is produced by Brasserie Cambier, a brewer located on the outskirts of Lille in the north of France.
This microbrewery was only established very recently, having started production in 2014. Nevertheless, this hasn’t been a barrier to their creating some great beers with fine and delicate flavours.
Mongy Blonde pours a golden blonde, on which sits a fine, yet generous white head.
The aromas evoke flowers, Belgian yeast, and peach, with overtones of grass and spice.
The initial flavour is one of slight bitterness followed close behind by sharp floral notes redolent of fruit and flowers. You might even be forgiven for thinking you had a glass of French spring beer in front of you.
