Page 24 Ambrée Reserve Hildegarde is an authentic product of northern France, brewed according to tradition to achieve the prestigious Saveurs en’Or regional produce label. Using only hops and grain produced in Flanders, this exceptional beer has won awards at various events including the celebrated Concours Générale Agricole at Paris in 2007 and 2009.
Pouring a deep orange capped by an impressive white head, Réserve Hildegarde breathes fruity scents with lemony, citrusy hops, and malted touches that evoke buttered toast and caramel. There are also light pepper and spice notes.
The palate reveals a symphony of flavours, set in a well-rounded body full of toasted malt and fruity, aromatic hops. The ensemble conjures up toasted grain, citrus, and red fruits, with the merest hint of liquorice, leading to a bitterness that builds throughout the tasting.
